Levels of progress

Levels of progress was discontinued as a key performance measure by the DfE for 2016. By default, GO 4 Schools will average the KS2 English and maths levels to get a baseline for other subjects, but you can set explicit baseline for specific subjects if you want to. For instance, averaging English and maths levels is not always a good indication of a student's baseline for music, PE or French.

For the newly reformed 9-1 GCSE qualifications GO 4 Schools will produce a transition matrix for schools, this will show the KS2 levels on the left and grades 1-9 along the top row. The matrix is no longer colour coded as the ‘expected progress’ measure is no longer used. Schools can use this to view where students are in relation to their starting points in KS2.

Levels of progress

GO 4 Schools can show the progress a student has made across their curriculum in a progress chart, allowing areas where the student is making less progress than others instantly visible.
